4년이란 시간이 지났습니다! 참 오래 전이네요!
예술의전당에서 다시 공연을 갖게 되어 대단히 기쁘고, 마치 고향에 돌아온 것 같은 기분이 듭니다.
특히, 저의 3번째 바흐 첼로 모음곡 녹음을 몇 주 앞두고 한국에서 전곡을 연주 하게 되어 대단히 영광스럽습니다. 이번 공연을 통해 바흐 애호가들과 첼로 애호가들과 함께 나누게 될 경험은 오랫동안 간직될 것이며, 녹음에도 큰 영향을 줄 것 입니다. 항상 그렇듯 음악은 열정적이고, 진심어린 음악 애호가들이 들어줬을 때 꽃피우기 때문에 저희가 함께 공유했던 경험들은 훗날 저에게도 큰 영감을 줄 것입니다. 4년 전 예술의전당에서 열린 리사이틀이 지금까지도 저를 행복하게 해준 것처럼요.

It's almost been 4 years! Too long!
Playing in Seoul Arts Center will feel like a home coming. It will be a tremendous pleasure to revisit that magnificent space.
How wonderful it is to perform the Bach suites in particular, only a few weeks before I will record them for the third time. Somehow the experience of sharing them with Bach lovers and cello lovers in Seoul will stay with me and find its way into that recording. Because as always music blooms when it's been listened to by passionate, genuine music lovers and the memory of that communion will be part of future inspiration. Just as the memories of my last Seoul visits still fill me with joy.
